About OpenNavo
OpenNavo helps you discover and manage macOS apps with Homebrew. Browse apps, collections, installation statistics and version history on the website; use the Mac app to install, update and uninstall software on your computer.
OpenNavo is an independent open-source project, not an official Homebrew or Apple product. Software installation is performed by your local Homebrew and uses the download sources defined by the selected package or mirror.
Data and content
Package metadata and installation statistics come from Homebrew’s public catalog. Descriptions, categories, collections and release notes are organized by OpenNavo using upstream project pages, release feeds and other public sources. Some content is generated or translated automatically and may contain mistakes or lag behind upstream releases.
Before installing, check the publisher, source, version and license. Catalog inclusion is not an endorsement or a guarantee of security. Report incorrect information through Feedback.
Privacy and local data
Browsing the public catalog does not require an account. The service records search terms, language, platform, result counts and selected search results to improve discovery. Ordinary application request logs record time, route, status and duration without an IP address field. IP addresses are still processed for request delivery and rate limiting; administrator sign-in and operation audits retain source IP addresses. Proxy error diagnostics and external infrastructure providers may also process or retain IP addresses. Previously recorded logs may remain until rotation; this is not a zero-log service.
Your browser stores its Brewfile list locally. The Mac app stores settings, local package information and operation history on your computer. Searching the catalog, loading online resources and checking for updates send requests to the relevant services. Homebrew, GitHub, download mirrors and other external providers apply their own privacy policies.
Feedback stores the content and contact information you choose to submit, together with supplied platform, app version, operating-system version or error details, to investigate and respond. Do not submit passwords, tokens or other secrets. For questions about submitted information, use the Feedback page and provide enough context to locate it.
Using OpenNavo
OpenNavo’s own source code is distributed under Apache-2.0; the LICENSE file is the authoritative license text. Third-party apps, libraries, fonts, templates and services retain their own licenses. OpenNavo does not grant additional rights to those materials or waive any applicable purchase requirements.
The software is provided “as is”, without warranties as described in its license. Review the operation and download source before installing, updating or removing an app, and back up important data. Availability, compatibility and upstream package content can change.

Open source
OpenNavo is built with open-source software. The inventory below is generated from the dependency locks and verified upstream license evidence for this release. It includes direct and transitive dependencies, development tools, fonts, templates and external infrastructure across the web, desktop, server and MCP. An entry does not mean that component is bundled in every download.
Each entry identifies its ecosystem, package or project, version, declared license and upstream link. Third-party materials retain their own copyright and license terms; Apache-2.0 applies to OpenNavo’s own code, not to every item below. “external” means the version is supplied by the environment rather than pinned by this application.
Original license texts, provenance and distribution scope are available at https://github.com/opennavo/OpenNavo/tree/main/docs/legal/third-party . Project attribution is in NOTICE, and redistribution guidance is in docs/legal/THIRD_PARTY.md. Consult the notices bundled with a specific release when redistributing its artifacts.
