MeetingRecorder 1.6.9

MeetingRecorder Pro: transcribe without the monthly limit for $10/month or $84/year. Upgrade from the menu or Settings → Transcription, and manage or cancel your subscription right from the app

Message the developer from the menu (💬): your message comes straight to me, and I reply by email

When you run low on free transcriptions, the menu shows clearly how many are left and when they come back

Also since 1.6.3

Every transcribed recording gets a clear title and a short summary: hover over a recording in the menu to see what the meeting was about

Recordings are named by that title right after transcription, without waiting for a full summary

A full summary keeps the same title as the list and the file name

More accurate transcripts (fewer missed phrases, numbers written as digits, no filler words) and clearer, more structured summaries

Long meetings (2 hours and more) are no longer cut off at the end of the transcript

The one-time question in the menu appears without restarting the app; the recordings list and your monthly usage refresh every time you open the menu

A one-time question in the menu: how would you feel if you could no longer use MeetingRecorder? Answer in one click and add a comment if you like — it goes straight to the developer

The Grant button always adds MeetingRecorder to the Screen Recording list in System Settings

Updates no longer reset the Screen Recording permission, and the app stops asking for it over and over

Automatic updates no longer fail with "An error occurred while running the updater" on macOS 26 and later

Transcriptions survive network drops and app restarts — no re-upload, no extra credit — and retry automatically when you're back online

Failed transcriptions now say why: no connection, server unavailable or timed out

Call detection works right after launch, without opening the menu first

Far fewer false "Record this call?" alerts from dictation, AI and recording apps

"Not a call — don't ask for…" on the alert, and an editable list of excluded apps in Settings → General

Recordings shorter than 3 seconds are no longer transcribed automatically

In automatic mode the "limit reached" alert appears once per period instead of after every meeting
