Beschreibung

Terminus TTF is a TrueType edition of Terminus, a fixed-width bitmap font designed for extended computer use. This Homebrew cask installs four font files: regular, bold, italic, and bold italic. The font combines original bitmap glyphs with scalable outlines generated from them.

  • The embedded bitmaps can render sharply at matching sizes; the official guidance lists bitmap sizes from 12 px through 32 px, with corresponding point sizes calculated for 96 dpi displays.
  • Scalable outlines may look different from the bitmaps, particularly with anti-aliasing. The project recommends monochrome black-and-white rendering when outlines are used; sizes above 32 px may not look good.
  • Italic glyphs are generated automatically and may not look as polished as the other styles.
  • The font is described as unpatched with respect to the glyphs it contains; this cask installs the listed files, not the separate patched variants offered by the project.

Install with brew install --cask font-terminus. After installation, select the installed Terminus TTF style you want in a compatible application’s font settings. This installs fonts, not an application. Display quality depends on how the application renders embedded bitmaps or outlines and on the selected size.

So installieren Sie Terminus TTF auf dem Mac
