Beschreibung

Ricty Diminished is a TrueType font designed for programming, combining Latin glyphs from Inconsolata with other characters from Circle M+ 1m. It is intended for use in text editors and terminal emulators, as well as with programming and markup languages.

The installed files include regular, bold, and oblique styles for Ricty Diminished, plus the corresponding Discord variants. Discord modifies ASCII characters derived from Inconsolata, prioritizing legibility over visual harmony. The font adjusts half-width and full-width character widths to a 1:2 ratio, makes full-width spaces visible, and distinguishes some full-width glyphs from their half-width counterparts. Its page also notes that JIS level-two kanji are incomplete.

Install with brew install --cask font-ricty-diminished. After installation, select the actual Ricty Diminished or Ricty Diminished Discord font in a compatible application, such as a code editor or terminal. Installing the cask adds fonts; it does not install an application. The official page describes the family as a legacy programming font and recommends considering newer alternatives.
