Plangothic is a supplementary font project based on Source Han Sans. It adds glyphs for CJK Unified Ideographs, primarily covering Extensions B through J, using Mainland China forms as its standard. The project describes the font as intended for displaying characters rather than handling complex text layout.

This Homebrew cask installs the OTF variant’s two separate regular font files: PlangothicP1-Regular.otf and PlangothicP2-Regular.otf. The project explains that the character set is split across files because a single font has a limit on the number of glyphs it can contain. This package does not install every release format or a combined font file.

To install, run brew install --cask font-plangothic. Then select the installed Plangothic font in an application that supports custom fonts. It is a font, not a standalone application.
