Beschreibung

Gilbert is a typeface project inspired by the design language of the Rainbow Flag and named in honor of its creator, Gilbert Baker. This Homebrew cask installs two preview font files: a bold OpenType font and a color-bold font. The project describes the color version as using the OpenType-SVG color font format.

Included files:

  • Gilbert-Bold Preview5.otf
  • Gilbert-Color Bold Preview5.otf

The project identifies Gilbert as a preview-alpha release, so the installed files are preview fonts rather than a representation of a complete font family. The two files substantiate the included bold and color-bold styles only; they do not establish broader style coverage, Unicode coverage, or ligature support.

Install with brew install --cask font-gilbert. After installation, select the installed Gilbert font in a compatible application to use it; this package installs fonts, not an application. Rendering of the color font depends on the application’s font support.

The project releases the font under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International License.
