Agave is a small, monospaced outline font designed with a geometrically regular, simple appearance and an old-computer-terminal-inspired character. Its creator describes it as intended to feel most at home at smaller, terminal-standard sizes, with an emphasis on regularity, legibility, and coding-friendliness.

The Homebrew cask installs eight specific font files: regular and bold weights, with selected files offering slashed zeros, bulged parentheses, or both. These are separate installed files, not a guarantee that every weight and glyph treatment is available in every combination. The font’s design is described as using geometric proportions and Bézier curves.

Install with brew install --cask font-agave. After installation, choose the desired Agave font file or style in a compatible application’s font settings. For coding use, select it in an editor or terminal that lets you choose fonts; installing the cask does not install an application. The available files alone do not establish complete Unicode coverage or support for programming ligatures.
