WhatsApp Beta

WhatsApp Beta is the beta-variant native desktop client for WhatsApp on macOS. It provides access to WhatsApp messaging and calling from a desktop app; WhatsApp’s official site describes private messaging, voice and video calls, group conversations, and sharing stickers, GIFs, Status updates, and voice messages.

• This cask installs WhatsApp.app in /Applications.
• It is the Beta variant, not the regular whatsapp cask, and the two casks conflict.
• The cask configuration supports automatic updates.

Install with Homebrew using brew install --cask whatsapp@beta. The cask requires macOS 12 or later. After installation, open WhatsApp from Applications.

The official WhatsApp website describes the service’s messaging and calling features; it does not establish that every listed feature is specific to this desktop beta build. WhatsApp notes that data charges may apply.
