About
NetEase UU Remote connects computers and mobile devices for remote control, assistance and game streaming. The macOS client can participate in remote desktop workflows across the supported Windows, macOS, iOS and Android platforms. This is the UU Remote client, not the separate UU network accelerator.
Mac remote workflows
The official Mac feature article describes bidirectional file transfer between a controller and a controlled Mac, including batch transfers and resumable transfers without a stated file-size or file-type limit. During a connection, users can manually create virtual screens, detach screen views into independent windows and move application windows across physical and virtual displays.
Privacy and assistance
The remote-control security controls include a privacy mode that masks the controlled Mac display and lets users configure the privacy wallpaper. An optional setting locks the controlled Mac when the remote session disconnects. The Mac remote-assistance area can save favorite devices with their device ID, verification information and a descriptive name so users do not need to enter them repeatedly. Configure remote access only for devices and people you trust.
Version scope
Homebrew records this exact cask at 4.42.0 and distributes the official NetEase PKG installer. The August 21, 2026 Mac feature article describes available workflows, not exact changes for 4.42.0, 4.41.2 or 4.41.1. Those features must not be presented as changes newly introduced by each recorded build. No official public source-code repository has been established for this proprietary client.
