UniFi Identity Endpoint
Ubiquiti · A macOS desktop app for connecting to organizational Wi-Fi, VPN, and access resources through UniFi Identity.
About
UniFi Identity Endpoint is the macOS desktop application for UniFi Identity. Ubiquiti describes UniFi Identity as a hub for employee access to resources such as Wi-Fi, VPN, doors, and SaaS single sign-on; the desktop app is identified as the endpoint for this service.
- Provides one-click connectivity to organizational resources through UniFi Endpoint.
- UniFi Identity brings user credentials and access management together in one interface.
- The broader service includes Wi-Fi, VPN, and physical-access capabilities; available functions depend on the organization’s UniFi setup.
Install the macOS app with brew install --cask unifi-identity-endpoint. The cask installs a packaged application named UniFi Endpoint.app.
UniFi Identity’s documented hardware requirements include a supported UniFi Cloud Gateway, Network Video Recorder, or CloudKey+ for the standard service. Some functions also require corresponding UniFi equipment, such as an Access Point or door-access device. The desktop app is not itself the UniFi console or access hardware.
