Tracexy is a Networking app for Mac. It needs macOS 14 or later.

About

Tracexy is a native macOS network analysis app. It captures live traffic or opens saved PCAP/PCAPNG files, groups traffic into sessions, and helps investigate hosts, processes, protocols, timing and raw packet evidence. Captures and derived session data stay on the Mac unless explicitly exported.

Installation: requires macOS 14 or later. Install with brew install --cask tracexy, or download the official DMG and place Tracexy.app in Applications. Opening saved captures needs no privileged helper; live capture requires one-time approval of the privileged helper.

The public source edition is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. Community is free; optional paid Pro licenses add features. Official distributions may carry separate commercial terms. Tracexy captures traffic passively rather than acting as an HTTPS interception proxy.

When live capture has no sessions, show guidance for specialized Wi-Fi interfaces and active capture filters.

Install and uninstall

Homebrew installs the app in your Applications folder.

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: github.com/RockxyApp/Tracexy/releases/download/v0.9.1/Tracexy-0.9.1-16.dmg

SHA-256 only checks that the download is complete; it is not a security certification. See the SHA-256 and download address

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask tracexy

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.

Deep clean (optional)
$ brew uninstall --zap --cask \tracexy

--zap also deletes the settings, caches and other files listed in the Homebrew definition. They can include data shared with other apps and cannot be restored, and it does not guarantee that nothing is left.See which files are removed
