About

TI SmartView CE Emulator Software for the TI-84 Plus Family emulates TI-84 Plus family graphing calculators, including the TI-84 Plus CE, on a Mac. It is designed to support classroom demonstrations and lets learners follow calculator operations on screen.

  • Show graph, table, equation, and data-list representations simultaneously, with up to four views displayed at once.
  • Review Key Press History; educators can copy and paste key presses into other applications for handouts.
  • Capture multiple screens and drag captures into compatible applications. Graphs can also use an image as a background.
  • Explore calculator functions such as graphing, matrices, statistics, probability distributions, and equation solving, using the emulator’s calculator tools.

Install with brew install --cask ti-smartview-ce-for-the-ti-84-plus-family. The Homebrew cask installs the macOS package. After installation, open the emulator and use its on-screen calculator and menus. TI describes the software as integrating with projection systems and allowing the emulator and toolbars to be repositioned for interactive whiteboards.

This is calculator emulation software, not a physical calculator. The cask installs a macOS package; the Windows requirements and licensing details on TI’s page are for that platform or TI’s purchasing options and are not installation requirements for this cask.
