About
Textus is a free, MIT-licensed Markdown editor by CatVinci Studio for macOS, Windows and Linux. It supports tables, task lists, footnotes, formulas and Mermaid diagrams, with Zen, Typewriter, split and source-code views. Export options include PDF, Word and HTML.
Documents remain ordinary local Markdown files. The editor works offline without an account. Optional Textus AI supports writing, review and suggested revisions through your chosen provider or a local Ollama model; external providers may charge separately and receive request content.
Version 1.1.0 requires macOS 11 or later and offers separate Apple Silicon and Intel DMGs. Automatic saving is optional and off by default. AI memory and image-upload destinations are configurable; review these settings before using sensitive material.
