About

Teleport Connect is a desktop client for infrastructure protected by Teleport. The official client guide documents macOS, Linux and Windows support; the Homebrew cask installs Teleport Connect.app from the official versioned DMG.

Find and connect to resources

The client provides a resource search bar, cluster and profile selectors, and a recent-connection list. SSH connections open shell tabs, while Kubernetes connections open local terminals preconfigured with KUBECONFIG. Database connections provide instructions for GUI clients or commands for CLI clients, with local ports that persist across app restarts.

Desktop and application workflows

Teleport Connect can open remote Windows desktop sessions, with clipboard and local-directory sharing subject to your role permissions. It can launch web applications in a browser and create authenticated tunnels for web and TCP applications. The client guide also documents access requests and local terminals with a bundled tsh client.

Prerequisites and scope

This is an infrastructure-access client, not a general web browser. Connections require access to a configured Teleport cluster and permission to use the relevant resources. The current upstream guide can describe capabilities newer than the installed Homebrew build; confirm feature availability against your cluster and client version.
