About

Shadow is a meeting assistant for Mac. It detects calls, transcribes audio on the Mac and saves transcripts and meeting outputs as Markdown files. Meeting Skills can generate notes and follow-up drafts; Action Skills use voice, screen context or selected text through keyboard shortcuts. AI-enabled Skills may use external model APIs. Recording conversations requires appropriate participant consent.

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: cdn.shadow.do/releases/mac/latest/2.3.8-build133/Shadow-2.3.8-arm64.dmg

SHA-256 only checks that the download is complete; it is not a security certification. See the SHA-256 and download address

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask \taperlabs-shadow

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.

Deep clean (optional)
$ brew uninstall --zap --cask \taperlabs-shadow

--zap also deletes the settings, caches and other files listed in the Homebrew definition. They can include data shared with other apps and cannot be restored, and it does not guarantee that nothing is left.See which files are removed
