About

Screens Assist is a macOS app for arranging remote help with your Mac. It creates a unique link that you can share with the person helping you; they open the link in Screens, Edovia’s remote access app, to connect.

  • Generates a link to share for a remote assistance session.
  • Requires the person connecting to open the link in Screens.
  • Prompts you to approve or deny a connection request; you do not need to share your Mac login credentials.
  • Edovia describes the app as free and presents troubleshooting, collaboration, and remote assistance as use cases.

Install with brew install --cask screens-assist. The supplied Homebrew cask requires macOS Monterey or later; Edovia’s page specifies macOS 12.4 or later for Screens Assist 2. To get help, open the app, follow its configuration prompts, and share the generated link. The other person needs Screens to connect.
