    Fixes code execution through project Git checks, tightens cleaning safety decisions, and improves simulators, update leftovers and uninstall discovery.

    Security and cleaning rules

    • Project Git configuration could make git status run a program. Purge disables those settings for its check and skips projects whose settings could still execute code, excluding them from one-click cleaning. See GHSA-pfxg-j55m-9j9c.
    • Fixes the mismatch where the displayed six-month stale threshold behaved as Show all unless changed. The default now uses six months. Under Show all, projects used within six months are Check First; projects too large to inspect completely are also Check First. Cards show the safety level and reason, preventing active project dependencies from being treated as Safe to Clean by Clean Safe Items or scheduled cleaning. See GHSA-453q-wmqq-8wh6.
    • Simulators and runtimes are always Check First because deletion is permanent, not a move to the Trash. Fixes simulator-device removal failing with Try again on some Macs.

    Adds Apple Intelligence model removal and re-download on macOS 27 with Apple silicon, Simplified Chinese and iCloud deletion warnings. Fixes administrator-installed app removal and a folder-sizing scan deadlock.

    Release highlights

    • Remove the Apple Intelligence models: On macOS 27 with Apple silicon, Overview has a new row under Hidden in System Data for the on-device Apple Intelligence models, which can take tens of GB by Apple's count. Remove asks Apple's own asset service to release them and installs a profile, which you approve once in System Settings, so macOS doesn't download them again. Download Again removes the profile and asks macOS for the models back. The models don't go to the Trash, the confirmation lists the features that stop working until you download them again, and Purge records what the disk really gave back. It's never part of Clean Safe Items or a scheduled clean.
    • Simplified Chinese: Purge is now available in Simplified Chinese, including every safety explanation.
    • iCloud warning in Large Files: Files that sync with iCloud Drive get a cloud badge, and the Move to Trash confirmation says that trashing them also removes them from your other devices.
    • Uninstalling admin-installed apps works again: Removing an app an administrator installed, such as one owned by root, now goes through the secure removal helper as it should. Before, Purge could sit on "Cleaning…" for five minutes when the helper didn't answer. It now gives up within about 20 seconds and points you to Finder. After an update, the old helper is replaced on its own.
    • No more stuck scans: Fixed a rare deadlock where sizing many folders at once could leave a scan waiting forever.
