Pritunl
Pritunl, Inc. · An open-source OpenVPN and WireGuard client with a graphical interface, profile importing and command-line tools for macOS, Linux and Windows.
About
Pritunl Client is a free, open-source VPN client maintained by Pritunl, Inc. It provides graphical and command-line interfaces for connecting to OpenVPN and WireGuard servers on macOS, Linux and Windows. The Homebrew cask installs the official macOS package, not the Pritunl VPN server.
Profiles and connections
Import OpenVPN and WireGuard profiles from Pritunl servers, or import standard OpenVPN configuration files. Pritunl server URIs provide another way to add a profile. The client interface manages connections and exposes connection information; the terminal interface can manage profiles, connect and view logs, including on headless systems and remote SSH sessions.
Installation and version scope
Install the official macOS package or use brew install --cask pritunl. The package installs Pritunl.app and its supporting services. The latest Homebrew-recorded build is 1.4.4752.50. Version 1.4.4744.47 introduced the terminal UI, user profiles in the CLI and Flatpak support; Flatpak is a Linux distribution feature, not a macOS installer option.
Pritunl publishes its source code publicly for inspection and provides documentation, community forums and email support. The official website describes the client as free, with no registration or credit card necessary.
