Pastebot 2 is a Utilities app for Mac.

About

Pastebot 2 is a clipboard manager from Tapbots. It keeps copied items available for reuse, organizes frequent clippings in custom pasteboards, and applies text filters before pasting. A quick-paste menu and sequential paste help with repetitive workflows.

The official version-2 site documents iCloud synchronization, keyboard shortcuts and an app blacklist. It lists macOS 10.14 or later. This entry installs the legacy 2.x release; Homebrew marks it deprecated and recommends the separate pastebot package. Avoid using version-3 feature or purchase information for this older release.

Install and uninstall

Homebrew installs the app in your Applications folder.

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: tapbots.net/pastebot2/Pastebot.24800.dmg

SHA-256 only checks that the download is complete; it is not a security certification. See the SHA-256 and download address

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask \pastebot@2

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.

Deep clean (optional)
$ brew uninstall --zap --cask \pastebot@2

--zap also deletes the settings, caches and other files listed in the Homebrew definition. They can include data shared with other apps and cannot be restored, and it does not guarantee that nothing is left.See which files are removed
