About
Parallels Desktop is desktop virtualization software that lets you run Windows and other operating systems on a Mac alongside macOS. This Homebrew cask installs the parallels@19 variant, rather than the unversioned or other major-version casks.
- Run Windows applications alongside Mac applications, including with the Windows desktop hidden in Coherence mode.
- Move and share content between macOS and Windows, and open Mac files from within Windows.
- Use Mac hardware such as the camera, microphone, keyboard, mouse, display, and sound with Windows; USB devices such as printers and scanners can also be connected.
- The product site describes support for running Windows 11 on Apple silicon and using Linux distributions in virtual machines.
Install with brew install --cask parallels@19 on macOS 12 or later. The cask runs an initialization step that requests administrator privileges. The parallels@19 cask conflicts with the parallels, parallels@18, and parallels@20 casks, so they cannot be installed alongside it.
