OpenThesaurus Deutsch Dictionary plugin

OpenThesaurus Deutsch Dictionary plugin adds a German synonym dictionary to Apple Dictionary (Dictionary.app) on macOS. It is a dictionary plug-in, not a standalone dictionary application.

• Search for synonyms across entries, rather than only looking up a headword.
• Find word components within phrases and hyphenated compounds, in addition to matches at the start of a word.
• The dictionary data is included in the plug-in, so searches do not require an internet connection.
• The thesaurus is based on OpenThesaurus and contains around 176,000 entries.

Install with Homebrew using brew install --cask openthesaurus-deutsch. The cask places the dictionary plug-in in ~/Library/Dictionaries. Restart Dictionary.app and enable the plug-in in its settings to use it. The supplied Homebrew package is the standard dictionary-file variant; the product page lists separate manual downloads for older macOS releases, but those are not this cask.

The product page lists the standard download for OS X 10.11 through macOS 27. Apple Dictionary is needed to use the plug-in.
