About
OmniWM Canary brings OmniWM’s Niri- and Hyprland-inspired window management to macOS. It is designed for people who prefer keyboard-driven workflows and Linux-style tiling on their Mac.
• Arrange windows in scrolling columns or Hyprland-style dwindle BSP layouts. • Search across workspaces with Overview and find windows, menus, apps, files, and clipboard history through a unified command palette. • Use a built-in Ghostty drop-down terminal with tabs and split panes. • Manage workspaces across displays and keep frequently used windows in floating scratchpads. • Automate windows and workspaces with the bundled omniwmctl CLI and local IPC interface.
OmniWM is free and open source, with no subscriptions, paywalls, trials, or usage caps.
Homebrew compatibility: macOS 26 or later on Apple Silicon. Intel Macs are not supported; Rosetta is not required.
Install: brew install --cask omniwm@canary

New OpenNavo editorial
OmniWM Canary 20261025-0437-40161156174-1 restores bundled widgets when a widget fails, preserves module paths through symlinked configuration directories, and pauses Hidden Bar rehiding for native popovers; this unreviewed canary is unstable.
