Little Snitch is Security & Privacy software for Mac.

About

This Homebrew cask installs the little-snitch@4 variant. Install with brew install --cask little-snitch@4, then follow the installer. This version requires a kernel extension to work. If installation fails, the cask advises enabling the extension under System Settings → Privacy & Security and retrying. Reboot the Mac for the installation to take effect. The cask uses a manual installer from the downloaded disk image and conflicts with the little-snitch, little-snitch@5, and little-snitch@nightly casks.

Install and uninstall

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: www.obdev.at/downloads/littlesnitch/legacy/LittleSnitch-4.6.1.dmg

SHA-256 only checks that the download is complete; it is not a security certification. See the SHA-256 and download address

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask \little-snitch@4

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.

Deep clean (optional)
$ brew uninstall --zap --cask \little-snitch@4

--zap also deletes the settings, caches and other files listed in the Homebrew definition. They can include data shared with other apps and cannot be restored, and it does not guarantee that nothing is left.See which files are removed
