About
iShowU Instant is a macOS application for recording screen activity in real time. It can capture a screen and offers controls for recording audio, camera footage, mouse activity, and keystrokes.
- Choose Basic or Advanced mode and save customized presets for common recording or output tasks.
- Export recordings as QuickTime or MP4 at up to 60 fps, or create time-lapse recordings with rates as low as one frame per minute.
- Adjust camera presentation, including picture-in-picture, full-screen, or hidden capture, with animated transitions while recording.
- Share through enabled macOS sharing services, including YouTube and Vimeo, and create animated GIFs.
- Advanced Features, available as an in-app purchase, add capabilities including audio dynamics, compressor and EQ, watermarks, ProRes output, and post-recording trimming and editing.
To install, run brew install --cask ishowu-instant. The cask installs iShowU Instant.app in /Applications. The app requires macOS 10.14.4 or later. Some features described above require the Advanced Features in-app purchase.
