HY-RPE2

HY-RPE2 is an 8-track MIDI sequencer plugin for macOS. It provides two sequencing engines, Grid and Euclidean, for creating and sending MIDI patterns from a compatible host application.

• The Grid and Euclidean engines offer two approaches to sequencing; the free edition is limited to Grid and three tracks.
• The Euclidean engine includes drag-and-drop modulation assignment, four LFO/Sample & Hold units, and four macro controls.
• MIDI tools include a recorder, MIDI Learn, and a MIDI Note Map.
• The interface can be resized. The macOS formats listed by the developer are VST2, VST3, and AUv3, 64-bit only; AUv3 is for Logic users.

Install with brew install --cask hy-rpe2. The Homebrew cask installs the macOS package. To use the plugin, open it in a compatible host or DAW and route its MIDI output to an instrument; setup differs by host. The developer states that AUv3 is only for Logic and that HY-RPE2 does not work with GarageBand or Propellerhead Reason. Its listed macOS requirement is OS X 10.14 or later.
