    OpenNavo editorial Added to Homebrew

Adds extension APIs, profile-isolated memories, root-level agent conflict resolution, and new onboarding and task-mode options. Also includes extension additions and fixes for streaming, saves, Git commits, and task state.

    Features
Adds extension hooks, provider access, compaction, and token estimates.Agent profiles can use separate memory stores.Agents can resolve conflicts at project roots and in worktrees.Onboarding and defaults now offer agent or code mode.
    Fixes
Fixes a streaming crash and stale updated-file lists.Makes task and todo file saves atomic.Fixes staged deletions, todo expansion, and token usage display.
    Extensions
Adds Compaction Studio, Jev, and DBX extensions.Adds binary-result rendering and GPT-6 series models to Codex.

AiderDesk 0.86.0 expands the Extension API with onToolsetCreated, getProviders, smartCompact, and getEstimatedTokens. Extensions can inspect or modify a run’s toolset, access configured provider profiles, and compact context or estimate tokens. Agent profiles can optionally keep isolated memories. Agent-assisted merge conflict resolution now also works at the project root, in addition to worktrees. Onboarding and the default for new tasks and projects now let users choose agent mode or code mode. Extension-provided tools appear in their own agent-selector section, which refreshes after extension changes.

The release adds Compaction Studio for controlled context compaction, Jev decision tools, and a DBX database client UI. It also adds a binary-file tool-result renderer and GPT-6 series models to OpenAI Codex. Other changes include ArrowUp editing of the previous message in an empty prompt and state resynchronization after socket reconnects. Fixes address a streaming crash, stale updated-file lists, non-atomic task and todo saves, commits involving staged deletions, todo-list expansion, and subagent token usage overwriting main-run context information.

    OpenNavo editorial Added to Homebrew

Adds per-project skill controls, live task file watching, editor search, an LLM API provider, and extension message actions, alongside task, model, and bug-fix updates.

    Features
Disable skills per project; control invocation and discover built-in skills.Watch task files live; search the editor with Ctrl+F or Cmd+F.Add the LLM API provider and extension actions for messages.
    Other
Adds /resume, archive-task actions, and project-folder access.Updates provider models and adds low reasoning effort for Z.ai.Fixes streaming crashes, commits, task state, and editor issues.

AiderDesk 0.85.0 adds per-project skill disabling and new skill frontmatter options: disable-model-invocation prevents an agent from invoking a skill, while user-invocable skills can be run when wanted. Built-in skill names are now suggested in / command completion. A task-directory watcher updates task files, worktree status, and completion suggestions during runs. The editor adds find-in-file shortcuts Ctrl+F and Cmd+F.

A built-in LLM API provider loads available models, pricing, and context information from an API key or LLMAPI_API_KEY. Extensions can add message dropdown actions through task-message-bar-menu; prompt images are also passed to custom extension commands. Other updates add /resume, archived-task palette actions, project-folder access from tabs, refreshed default provider models, and low reasoning effort for the Z.ai plan provider. The release also fixes streaming crashes from duplicate message IDs, branch-popup keys, deleted-file staging, partial commits, task eviction, a swallowed search shortcut, diff scrolling, and provider options leaking into task context. 6. 0.84.0

    Expand

    OpenNavo editorial Added to Homebrew

Enables Git workflows for non-Git projects, virtualizes file trees and defers several loads, strengthens Git and worktree handling, adds OpenAI stateless requests for ZDR, and brings bulk MCP tool approval plus task, extension, and UI updates.

    Projects
Non-Git projects are automatically initialized as Git repositories.File trees are virtualized; updated-file diffs load on demand. Background projects load tasks only when activated.
    Git & ZDR
Local mode is blocked when a worktree has uncommitted changes.Conflicting task branches get a unique sibling branch.OpenAI adds Store Responses for stateless ZDR requests.
    Other
MCP tools can be approved in bulk per server.Git branch menus add keyboard navigation; extensions add one-time scheduling.Electron is updated to 44.3.0.

AiderDesk 0.84.0 automatically initializes Git for projects that are not repositories, making Git workflows available to them. Workspace file trees are virtualized, updated-file diffs load on demand, and background projects defer task loading until activation. Tooltips also render faster.

Git and worktree handling changes include blocking a switch to local mode when a worktree has uncommitted changes; creating a unique sibling branch when a task branch is already checked out in another worktree; preserving task branch names when a worktree is shared; and force-staging ignored files on retry. Freshly initialized repositories can show uncommitted diffs against the empty tree, including untracked files.

OpenAI’s new “Store Responses” setting supports stateless requests for organizations with Zero Data Retention (ZDR) requirements. MCP tools can be approved in bulk per server, and the Git branches dropdown adds keyboard navigation. Other updates include task usage tracking, automatic agent retries in specified no-message or reasoning-only cases, diff presentation, Markdown list rendering, and extension changes. The Task Scheduler extension adds one-time scheduling, and SearXNG Search uses the API directly. Electron is updated to 44.3.0.
