How to install GeoGebra on Mac

In Terminal, run: brew install --cask geogebra
Homebrew installs the app in your Applications folder.

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: download.geogebra.org/installers/6.0/GeoGebra-Classic-6-MacOS-Portable-6-0-929-3.zip

Uninstall GeoGebra and optional data cleanup

Uninstall command

brew uninstall --cask geogebra

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.

Homebrew has disabled GeoGebra (it fails macOS Gatekeeper checks), so it can no longer be installed with Homebrew. It was disabled on Sep 1.

How do I completely uninstall GeoGebra on a Mac?

Run brew uninstall --cask geogebra. It quits the app, removes 1 login item, and forgets 1 installer receipt. To delete its settings and caches as well, run brew uninstall --zap --cask geogebra. --zap also deletes the settings, caches and other files listed in the Homebrew definition. They can include data shared with other apps and cannot be restored, and it does not guarantee that nothing is left. Back up any data you need first. To keep settings and caches, leave out --zap. That also deletes 9 files and folders, including ~/Library/Containers/org.geogebra6.mac.

Does GeoGebra run on Apple silicon (M1 and later) Macs?

Homebrew installs it on both Apple silicon and Intel Macs, from the same download. It needs macOS 12 or later.
