Takushun Wu · A large-character-set Chinese Songti/Mincho typeface, installed as a single TTC font file and released under SIL OFL 1.1.
WenJin Mincho is a font you can install on a Mac.
About
WenJin Mincho is a Chinese Songti/Mincho-style typeface whose character forms primarily follow mainland China standards. The Homebrew cask installs one collection file, WenJinMincho-OTF.; it does not install the font project’s other file formats or variants.
- The project describes the family as a large-character-set Chinese font, developed from Source Han Serif-derived characters and additional glyphs generated using GlyphWiki data and a modified Kage engine.
- The project documents support for pinyin and zhuyin systems, plus OpenType features including glyph-standard switching, alternate phonetic symbols, vertical zhuyin, mark positioning, and punctuation compression.
- The font is released under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, which permits commercial and noncommercial use subject to that license’s terms.
Install with brew install --cask font-wenjin-mincho. After installation, select WenJin Mincho in an application that supports installed fonts to use it for typesetting and design; this cask installs a font, not an application. Consult the project’s manual for guidance on using its features.
