About

UDEV Gothic HS is a font family for programming that combines Japanese glyphs from BIZ UD Gothic with Latin glyphs from JetBrains Mono. The HS variant is specifically the full-width-space-hidden edition: unlike variants that make full-width spaces visible, these installed files render them as ordinary fonts generally do.

This cask installs a selection of TrueType files, not an application or every UDEV Gothic variant. The files include regular, bold, italic, and bold italic styles across the standard and 35 width-ratio families, along with JPDOC and LG-named variants. The 35 files use a half-width-to-full-width ratio of 3:5; files without 35 use 1:2. JPDOC variants display certain common Japanese-document symbols as full-width glyphs. LG denotes the ligature-compatible variant. The installed set also includes an HSLG regular file. These names identify the supplied files, not a guarantee of complete character coverage or ligature support in every application.

Install with brew install --cask font-udev-gothic-hs. Then choose the installed UDEV Gothic font by name in a compatible application’s font settings; for coding, select it in a code editor or terminal. This installs font files, not a separate app. See the project for details on the font family and its variants.
