PlemolJP HS
yuru7 · Japanese programming font package with four PlemolJP and PlemolJP Console families; the HS variant does not add visible full-width spaces.
About
PlemolJP HS is a font package for Japanese programming and text. It combines IBM Plex Mono with IBM Plex Sans JP. Unlike the version with modified, visible full-width spaces, the HS variant is for users who do not want that modification. It installs font files, not an application; select an installed font in a compatible editor or terminal to use it.
- The installed files cover four families: PlemolJP, PlemolJP Console, PlemolJP35, and PlemolJP35 Console. The supplied files include particular styles and weights, including regular, italic, and multiple weight options.
- PlemolJP uses a half-width-to-full-width character-width ratio of 1:2. PlemolJP35 uses 3:5, so its alphanumeric characters appear larger relative to Japanese characters.
- The Console families apply IBM Plex Mono letterforms to symbols as well; many symbols, such as arrows, display at half-width.
- PlemolJP combines IBM Plex Mono forms mainly for ASCII letters, numbers, and punctuation with IBM Plex Sans JP forms for other Japanese characters and symbols.
Install with Homebrew using brew install --cask font-plemol-jp-hs. After installation, select the desired installed family and style in a compatible application. This is the HS (Hidden Space) package, not the Nerd Fonts variant.
