Overused Grotesk is a font you can install on a Mac.

About

Overused Grotesk is a sans-serif typeface inspired by classic neo-grotesque Swiss design. This Homebrew cask installs font files, not an application: one variable TrueType font and 16 static OpenType styles.

  • The variable font is OverusedGrotesk-VF.ttf. The static files cover Roman and italic styles from Light through Black, including Book, Medium, SemiBold, Bold, and ExtraBold. The complete cask set contains 17 font files.
  • The project describes Vietnamese and Cyrillic letters with localized forms, stylistic sets and character variants, plus typographic options such as tabular figures, fractions, and a slashed zero.
  • The project also notes IPA letters, currency symbols, and arrows. These details do not establish complete Unicode coverage.
  • The project identifies the typeface as being under the SIL Open Font License 1.1.

Install with brew install --cask font-overused-grotesk. After installation, select Overused Grotesk in an application that supports custom fonts, such as a design or document app. The cask does not install an app. The installed files establish the included font styles, but do not establish that every feature mentioned in project materials is present in this cask’s installed set.
