Noto Sans Mono CJK JP is the Japanese monospace variant in the Noto Sans CJK family. Its Mono design uses half-width glyphs for ASCII by default. This Homebrew cask installs two OpenType font files: NotoSansMonoCJKjp-Regular.otf and NotoSansMonoCJKjp-Bold.otf.

  • Provides Regular and Bold styles; the installed files do not include other weights.
  • Intended for text typesetting; for coding or other monospaced text, select the installed font in an editor or terminal that supports custom fonts.
  • This package installs fonts, not an application. Installing it does not automatically select the font for you.

Install with brew install --cask font-noto-sans-mono-cjk-jp, then choose Noto Sans Mono CJK JP in the font settings of a compatible application. The font files alone do not establish full Unicode coverage or ligature support.
