Migu 2M
itouhiro · A Japanese monospaced font combining M+ and IPA Gothic, with regular and bold TrueType files.
About
Migu 2M is a Japanese monospaced font made by combining M+ and IPA Gothic. This Homebrew cask installs two TrueType files: regular and bold. It installs the Migu 2M font, not a font-management or editing application.
- Its fixed-width design gives characters consistent spacing.
- The official feature comparison lists full support for JIS2004 kanji glyph forms and full support for distinguishing
1,I, andl. - The Migu 2M entry identifies some mathematical symbols and Greek and Russian characters as full-width; it also notes that its long-vowel mark and hiragana
へare unchanged. - The installed files are
migu-2m-bold.ttfandmigu-2m-regular.ttf.
Install with brew install --cask font-migu-2m. After installation, select the installed Migu 2M regular or bold font in a compatible application. For coding, choose it in an editor or terminal that supports installed fonts; installing the cask does not itself change an application's font setting.
The official page describes Migu fonts as combining modified M+ with IPA Gothic and states that the fonts follow the IPA Font License Agreement. The specific cask installs only the two listed Migu 2M files; this does not establish complete Unicode coverage or support for programming ligatures.
