MigMix 2P
itouhiro · A proportional Japanese font combining M+ glyphs with IPA Gothic kanji, installed in regular and bold styles.
About
MigMix 2P is a proportional Japanese font made by combining M+ and IPA Gothic. Its design differs from MigMix 1P: the Japanese kana and some Latin characters have different shapes, while the kanji are shared. The project describes the kanji coverage as JIS levels 1 through 4.
The Homebrew cask installs two font files:
migmix-2p-regular.ttf— regular stylemigmix-2p-bold.ttf— bold style
To install, run brew install --cask font-migmix-2p. After installation, choose the installed MigMix 2P font in an application that supports user-installed fonts. This installs fonts, not a separate application.
The project notes that MigMix uses an installed bold face when bold formatting is applied, rather than relying on a synthetically emboldened regular face. The cask installs only the regular and bold files listed above; the project’s broader discussion of M+ weights does not mean those additional weights are included.
