MigMix 1P

MigMix 1P is a proportional Japanese font that combines M+ glyphs with IPA Gothic kanji. Its design uses M+ glyphs without modification, and the project describes its kanji coverage as spanning JIS levels 1 through 4. The 1P variant differs from MigMix 2P in the design of full-width hiragana, katakana, and Latin letters and digits.

This Homebrew cask installs two font files:

• migmix-1p-regular.ttf for the regular style
• migmix-1p-bold.ttf for the bold style

The font project explains that MigMix uses an installed bold face when text is made bold, rather than relying on a synthetically thickened regular face. MigMix 1P is proportional, unlike the separate 1M variant, which is described as monospaced.

Install it with brew install --cask font-migmix-1p. After installation, select MigMix 1P or its regular or bold face in an application that supports user-installed fonts. Installing the cask adds fonts; it does not install a separate application. The supplied cask files substantiate the regular and bold styles only; they do not establish that other MigMix variants or weights are installed.
