About
LXGW WenKai GB Lite is a lightweight Simplified Chinese typeface derived from Klee One. It is a reduced edition of LXGW WenKai GB, intended in part for embedding in apps. Compared with the full edition, it omits some less common Chinese characters and Hangul.
The Homebrew cask installs six font files: proportional LXGW WenKai GB Lite in Light, Medium, and Regular, plus monospaced LXGW WenKai Mono GB Lite in the same three weights. The font supports Unicode Variation Sequences (UVS), which can be used to select punctuation width and positioning. The Lite edition may lack some rare characters within the GB 18030-2022 level 2 range; consider the full edition if those characters are required.
Install with brew install --cask font-lxgw-wenkai-gb-lite. After installation, select the installed font by its family name in an application that lets you choose fonts. For coding or other monospaced text, choose LXGW WenKai Mono GB Lite; the proportional family is available for other text. This installs fonts, not an application.

Adjusts existing Chinese glyphs and adds characters and variation sequences introduced in Unicode 18.0. Adds dice and mahjong symbols, additional Latin combinations, and the fwid feature for selected full-width characters. Repositions and resizes the LXGW logo glyph. The exact glyph lists and variant-specific changes are documented in this font's official 1.530 release.
