Libre Caslon Text
Pablo Impallari, Rodrigo Fuenzalida · A text-focused Caslon typeface inspired by 1960s American hand lettering, installed in regular, italic, and bold OTF files.
About
Libre Caslon Text is a Caslon typeface designed with web body text in mind. Its design draws inspiration from American hand-lettered Caslons of the 1960s. This Homebrew cask installs three OpenType files: regular, italic, and bold.
- The regular and italic styles include ligatures; the italic also has an alternate ampersand (
ss01). - OpenType features include lining proportional numbers, lining tabular numbers and punctuation, old-style proportional numbers, fractions, ordinals, and inferior and superior figures.
- The project describes language coverage for 104 Latin languages.
- The font is licensed under the SIL Open Font License v1.1.
Install with brew install --cask font-libre-caslon-text. Then select Libre Caslon Text, or the desired installed style, in a font-enabled application to use it. This cask installs a font family, not a standalone application. The installed files are limited to regular, italic, and bold; other styles are not included by this cask.
