About

League Gothic is a revival of Alternate Gothic #1, originally designed by Morris Fuller Benton in 1903. The League of Moveable Type describes its version as a contribution to the Open Source Type Movement.

  • The installed OpenType files are Regular, Italic, Condensed, and Condensed Italic.
  • The typeface is credited to Caroline Hadilaksono, Micah Rich, Tyler Finck, and Dannci.
  • The official page lists 11 supported character sets and describes coverage for 122 languages; this does not mean every character in those languages is included.
  • The official page identifies the typeface as Open Font License.

Install with brew install --cask font-league-gothic. Then select the installed League Gothic style you want in a compatible application’s font menu. This installs font files, not an application. The available files are the four styles listed above; other variants are not included by this cask.
