jsMath-cmbx10 is a Homebrew font cask for six TrueType font files from the jsMath TeX font archive: jsMath-cmbx10., jsMath-cmex10., jsMath-cmmi10., jsMath-cmr10., jsMath-cmsy10., and jsMath-cmti10.. The cask installs these files in the user’s ~/ folder; it installs fonts, not the jsMath application.
The jsMath download page describes the TeX fonts as intended for use with jsMath and says that using the TeX font set can improve mathematical presentation. It also notes that jsMath can fall back to image versions of TeX fonts when they are not installed. These are the files included in this cask; the list does not imply that it contains every jsMath font variant or complete Unicode coverage.
For jsMath use, restart the browser after installing the fonts so it can detect them. The upstream page notes that some web pages may require additional fonts.

Is jsMath-cmbx10 safe?
jsMath-cmbx10 is in Homebrew’s official catalog and has not been disabled. Since September 2026, Homebrew disables apps that fail macOS Gatekeeper checks. The download comes from www.math.union.edu; Homebrew does not verify a checksum for it.
