About

Inria Serif is a serif typeface available through Homebrew as a font package. The cask installs six TrueType font files into the user's ~/Library/Fonts folder; it installs font files rather than a separate application.

Included files provide these styles:

  • Regular
  • Light and Light Italic
  • Italic
  • Bold and Bold Italic

To install it, run brew install --cask font-inria-serif. After installation, select the installed Inria Serif style you want from the font menu in an application that supports custom fonts. The files can be used in compatible writing and design applications; choose an editor or terminal only if you want to use the font there.

The installed files are the six listed styles, not a complete set of every possible weight or variant. The available evidence does not establish full Unicode coverage or ligature support.
