About
iA Writer Mono is a monospaced typeface in the iA Writer font family. This Homebrew cask installs six font files: static Regular, Italic, Bold, and Bold Italic styles, plus variable upright and Italic files. It installs fonts, not the iA Writer writing application.
The project describes the iA Writer fonts as modified versions of IBM Plex. The project permits personal use of these fonts as custom fonts in other text editors, but says not to redistribute them with those editors. Its usage guidelines also prohibit bundling them in other text editors or setting them as those editors’ default typefaces. Review the project’s license before using, modifying, or distributing the fonts.
Install with brew install --cask font-ia-writer-mono. After installation, select the installed iA Writer Mono font in an application that supports custom fonts. For coding, choose it in a compatible editor or terminal’s font settings. Installing the files does not select the font automatically.
