GenSekiGothic
But Ko (ButTaiwan) · A Pan-CJK typeface with a rugged, vintage letterpress feel, installed as five TTC font files.
About
GenSeki Gothic is a Pan-CJK font derived from Genki Gothic, designed to evoke the sturdy, unpolished look of early letterpress Gothic type. Its angular, retro character suits layouts that call for a strong or industrial visual tone.
The Homebrew cask installs five TTC files: GenSekiGothic2-B.ttc, GenSekiGothic2-H.ttc, GenSekiGothic2-L.ttc, GenSekiGothic2-M.ttc, and GenSekiGothic2-R.ttc. These files represent specific installed font artifacts, not a claim that every family variant is included.
The font project describes localized Chinese variants, including Taiwan-oriented TW and traditional-style TC, and Japanese JP monospaced and PJP proportional variants. It also documents support for Taiwanese and Hakka characters within CJK Extension H, HKSCS 2021 additions, jf7000 characters, and Hangul in the KS X 1001 range. The installed files are font collections; the cask does not install a separate application.
Install with brew install --cask font-gensekigothic. After installation, select the actual GenSeki Gothic font in a compatible application’s font menu to use it.
