Fanwood Text is a font you can install on a Mac.

About

Fanwood Text is a typeface offered through Google Fonts. The Homebrew cask installs two font files on macOS:

  • FanwoodText-Regular.ttf
  • FanwoodText-Italic.ttf

These files provide the regular and italic styles; the cask does not install a separate application. After installation, select the installed Fanwood Text style in a compatible application’s font menu to use it.

Install with Homebrew Cask:

brew install --cask font-fanwood-text

The font files are installed in the user’s ~/Library/Fonts directory.

Install and uninstall

Homebrew installs the font in ~/Library/Fonts, where Font Book can use it.

Install without Homebrew

Download the same file Homebrew uses: github.com/google/fonts.git

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask \font-fanwood-text

A regular uninstall removes the app and keeps its settings and caches.
