About
Fandol is a family of OpenType fonts designed for Chinese typesetting. This Homebrew cask installs eight specific font files; it does not install a typesetting application.
The installed files provide these styles and variants:
- Song: regular and bold.
- Hei: regular and bold.
- Kai: regular.
- Fang: regular.
- Braille: regular and display.
To install the fonts, run brew install --cask font-fandol. After installation, select the desired Fandol font by name in a compatible application. Use a text or typesetting application that supports installed OpenType fonts to apply them to your Chinese text. The presence of these font files does not establish complete Unicode coverage or support for typographic ligatures.
