DejaVu Sans is a font you can install on a Mac.

About

DejaVu Sans is a sans-serif font from the DejaVu family, which is based on Bitstream Vera. The family’s stated aim is to provide a wider range of characters while retaining the original look and feel.

This Homebrew cask installs one font file: DejaVuSans.ttf. It does not install the family’s other listed styles, such as bold, oblique, condensed, or monospaced fonts. Although the upstream family includes a range of fonts and subset forms, those are not included in this cask’s installed file.

To install the font with Homebrew, run brew install --cask font-dejavu-sans. After installation, select DejaVu Sans in a compatible application’s font settings to use it. This package installs a font, not an application.

The upstream project publishes compiled fonts in TTF format and describes the family as based on Bitstream Vera. See the DejaVu Fonts project for more information.

SHA-256 only checks that the download is complete; it is not a security certification. See the SHA-256 and download address

Uninstall command
$ brew uninstall --cask \font-dejavu-sans
