About

Crimson Text is a font family provided as individual TTF files. The Homebrew cask installs six styles: regular, italic, semibold, and bold, with italic files for semibold and bold as well. It installs font files, not an application.

Install it with brew install --cask font-crimson-text. After installation, select the installed Crimson Text style you want in an application that supports custom fonts. The files are placed in ~/Library/Fonts.

The cask includes these files:

  • CrimsonText-Regular.ttf and CrimsonText-Italic.ttf
  • CrimsonText-SemiBold.ttf and CrimsonText-SemiBoldItalic.ttf
  • CrimsonText-Bold.ttf and CrimsonText-BoldItalic.ttf

These listed files describe the styles provided by this cask; they do not establish full Unicode coverage or support for typographic ligatures.
