Cooper Hewitt is a typeface package that installs OpenType font files (OTF), rather than an application. The Homebrew cask places 14 files in the user’s ~/Library/Fonts directory.
The installed files include regular and italic styles for Thin, Book, Light, Medium, Semibold, Bold, and Heavy weights. This gives you a range of named weights and slanted styles to choose from in applications that support installed fonts. The package includes specific font files; it should not be taken as evidence of additional variants, complete Unicode coverage, or ligature support.
Install with brew install --cask font-cooper-hewitt. After installation, select Cooper Hewitt and the desired available style in a compatible application’s font menu. This installs a font family for use in applications; it does not install a separate design or editing app.
