Chiron Sung HK is a font you can install on a Mac.

About

Chiron Sung HK is a Traditional Chinese serif typeface with modern glyph forms and region-neutral styling. This Homebrew cask installs two variable OpenType files: a regular face and an italic face. The project describes the typeface as based on Source Han Serif, with glyph choices adjusted toward styles commonly seen in commercial fonts.

  • The font includes a wght axis for weight and a PADG axis for adjusting the scale of Chinese glyphs; the project documents PADG values from 0 to 10.
  • Its design includes punctuation adjustments and adds more than a thousand Chinese characters, including characters for Cantonese, Taiwanese, and Hakka use.
  • The italic file provides an italic option; the project describes its non-LGC characters as slanted and says it embeds Source Serif italics.
  • These installed files are variable OpenType fonts, rather than the project's separate static, webfont, or TrueType files.

Install with brew install --cask font-chiron-sung-hk. After installation, select Chiron Sung HK in an application that supports these fonts and variable-font controls. This cask installs only ChironSungHKVF.otf and ChironSungHKItVF.otf; it does not install a font-management or design application.
