BukyVede Regular
William Veder & Sebastian Kempgen · A regular Unicode font for Slavic medieval texts, with Old Church Slavonic Cyrillic, Glagolitic, and basic Latin characters.
About
BukyVede Regular is the upright style of a Unicode font designed for Slavic medievalists. The available Homebrew cask installs BukyVede-Regular.ttf only; it does not install the font’s oblique or bold styles.
The font’s documented character repertoire includes Old Church Slavonic Cyrillic, including historical characters and superscripts, and Glagolitic, also with superscripts. It additionally provides basic Latin ASCII characters, editorial symbols for marking up texts, and some extra characters and glyph variants in Unicode’s Private Use Area. The font documentation describes OpenType features for the Cyrillic and Glagolitic sets. Private Use Area characters may use code points that other fonts assign differently.
Install with brew install --cask font-bukyvede-regular. Then select BukyVede Regular as the font in a compatible application to use it; installing the cask does not install a separate app. The font is free to use, but is not in the public domain and retains its contributors’ rights.
