Brass Mono
Peter Fonseca · A retro-inspired monospaced font family with regular, bold, and italic styles, plus a separate Code variant with programming ligatures.
About
Brass Mono is a monospaced typeface inspired by the look of 20th-century electrical and mechanical design. The Homebrew cask installs both the standard Brass Mono family and Brass Mono Code, a separate variant with code ligatures.
The installed files provide regular, bold, italic, and bold italic styles for Brass Mono, and the same four styles for Brass Mono Code. The standard family has no ligatures; the Code variant includes programming ligatures. This is a font package, not an application. To use it, select the installed Brass Mono or Brass Mono Code face in a compatible application. For coding, choose Brass Mono Code if you want ligatures; editor or terminal use depends on the application’s font selection support.
Install with Homebrew:
brew install --cask font-brass-mono
After installation, select the desired font in your application’s font settings. The package contains the listed styles; it does not establish full Unicode coverage or support for ligatures in every application.
